Reed Kelly works in architecture and design in the Pacific Northwest. Reed is passionate about leveraging architecture, design, construction, and real estate to create sustainable, affordable, healthy, fun, and vibrant urban cities.

Reed is currently a Project Architect at American Capital Group (ACG). ACG is a vertically-integrated, full-service, real estate company that designs, develops, builds and manages multifamily properties. ACG targets Transit Oriented Development (TOD) and urban multifamily properties in Washington, Oregon and California. ACG has acquired, developed and built more than 81 properties with a value of approximately $2 billion. ACG currently has multiple TOD developments in design and construction and more than $1 billion of assets under management and development.

Reed was previously an Architect at Mithun in Seattle, Washington. Mithun is a nationally-recognized interdisciplinary design firm encompassing architecture, interior design, landscape architecture, urban design, and planning. Mithun's sustainable design strategies seek to create positive change in our communities. 

Reed has also worked at Malboeuf Bowie Architects, a design/build firm focusing on highly sustainable residential projects, including include townhomes, single family, ADUs/DADUs, and Passive House projects.. Reed as also worked at at Olson Kundig Architects where he worked on high-end residential projects ranging from single family homes to masterplanning a 74-acre private island. He also assisted in the production of the published Tom Kundig Works book.

Reed is a graduate of the University of Washington Masters of Architecture program and holds a Certificate in Real Estate Development. As a graduate student Reed worked in the CBE Fab Lab, a wood and metal shop open to university students. As a Graduate Student Advisor for Arch 100, Reed helped teach the summer design studio at the University of Washington.

Previously Reed lived in Portland, Oregon where he attended Lewis & Clark College and graduated with a degree International Affairs and Latin American Studies. In Portland he worked in politics and communications, including at a newspaper and radio station and for a US Senator, before shifting to small scale fabrication and working in the construction industry.

When he's not designing or building something, Reed enjoys learning about sustainable design, working on real estate development, and spending time in the outdoors.
